He was pure love, and I did not know how intense his love was until I looked, listened, and took the time to understand him. His compassion and his ability to nurture and provide for others were selfless gestures. He had grown into a prince of a man, and it was pleasing to my heart. So fortunate was a mother to have such a son. I watched him as he made light of his struggle, being the only male in a house full of women. His positive attitude and genuine nature about life carried him far. My son, I thank you for learning how to brighten up my darkest moments. I thank you for remembering how to shine in the dark when many of us have forgotten how to.
